Weird. The last time I wrote a journal entry, I was starting my awesome new job with Rivet Games. Now I'm writing to say that it's over, and I'm really mourning it.  The company closed down very suddenly this week, along with our awesome game.  But I don't want to focus on the sad part; I want to focus on how AMAZING the last year has been!  I got to work with the best people in the business, on a team that functioned like a well-oiled machine, including the most wildly talented artists and designers I've met!  What's not to love about that?  We really became a family, and even though our game may never see the light of day, it was a great pr

I haven't updated since JULY.  JULY???!!! *shame* Oh, well. Spilt milk and all that. ON THE UPSIDE, I have a new job!  I've recently accepted a position as an Art Lead with a social media game development company in San Francisco, so I am now relocated to the sunny West Coast!  I have to admit I find the area enchanting (warts and all), so I have great hopes that my experience here will be an exciting one.  On the art front, things are really about to start cooking as we settle into our new home, so keep an eye out for Holiday-themed pieces (there's a Harry Potter one I've been dying to draw for ages, so methinks now is the time, what with

Well, about one week after I made this decision, I did in fact land some freelance, so I'm now working two part-time jobs, or the equivalent of 1.2 full-time jobs. While that's AWESOME and I could not feel more blessed, it does mean that I'm sort of back to Square One when it comes to personal work: I refuse to use my paying work as an excuse not to create more independent artwork, but I also have less time for creating. ARGH. Dilem

Hey Missy! I'm glad you like my Wonder Woman! My drafting table has been on full throttle lately, gonna try to get a table at DragonCon this year. So there's gonna be a lot more to come!
Good! If you can manage it, I also recommend Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC: very awesome, intimate Con with primarily superhero comic fans, so your stuff would sell like HOTCAKES. Good connections available there, too! Glad to hear you're doing well!
